Our purpose : why we were formed
New Rotary Clubs are created to meet the needs of the community.
The first Rotary Club in the region was the Rotary Club of Nelson. This
club flourished, and to avoid the club becoming too large to manage effectively,
the Nelson club established further Rotary clubs in the region; the Rotary
Club of Whakatu being the newest.
